On Tuesday Aug. 11th Maxine & I started heading east.
With stops in eastern Montana, western North Dakota & the eastern North Dakota.
It was so hot all last week that we did not stay as long I though we would in MT & ND (100 plus temps). I moved on to Minnesota where I knew it would nicer to stay.
We stopped two nights at a very nice US Army Corps of Engineers Park “Fort Peck Lake” a very large lake in west MT. Here is the nice big site we had.
From the top of the Dam, The campground is off to the left where the trees are (below the dam).
The lake go on & on above the Dam.
One night stop at Lewis and Clark State Park in ND & two nights at Homme Lake, ND also a US Army Corps of Engineers Pack run by the county. But it was so hot & dusty I packed up early & moved on sooner than later. On Saturday mid-day I packed up, and now we are at Woodenfrog State Forest Campground in northern Minnesota to meet up with some friends, More to come on that later.
First thing Sunday morning I took my pal for a walk & look where she went right away.
