Number One “Bird Boy”

This week I got to be the “Bird Boy” for my friend Dick & his three dogs. What you get do as a bird boy, is you go out in the field and when the trainer “in this case Dick” gives me the sign you shoot a starter gun & when throw out a duck or retriever dummy, he will then send the dog out to get it & bring it back. The dog should come on a straight line out & straight line back. You need to work the dogs all most every day to get them to be good. Dick’s three dog Harvard, Gustoff & Winston, in my mind are all great retrievers.

But it is not all work, they get to do some singing lessons.

Play some ball.

And just hang out at camp.
