New to me My “RV Home”

It’s been a crazy busy couple weeks since I’ve come back from Great Britain. While I was gone to Great Britain, I had got a message from my friend Steve who said there was a nice RV I should check out in Green Lake, Wisconsin. So on the Sunday that I got back and I was going to pick up Maxine at my brother-in-law’s in Marshfield Wisconsin, I took a little side trip to check it out, it looked really great in like new condition. I didn’t have any time to test drive it or ask any questions so I made plans to come back a week later. So a week ago today I went back and took it for a test drive, and loved it. And after some negotiating back and forth agreed on a price, went and got him a cashier’s check and made arrangements to pick it up later that day. I had a get back to the park that I am hosting at, in southern Wisconsin about two hours from where the RV was. So for a week it was at my friend’s house “Steve” and I had a go back to my old home wishing I could be in the new one. On Monday night I headed up the Green Lake with my old RV to switch things out. It took me all day Tuesday the move stuff from the old rig to the new one. I can’t believe how many things I have in this little RV. My friend Dick came over to help me move some of the stuff which was really nice. And while we were doing that Steve was busy modifying some cupboards adding shelves and made a new drawer. The plan is in a couple weeks to go back up I am and do a little more modification. Whenever you get a new RV you can do customizing to make it more practical for individual use. It’s a great unit that was stored inside whenever it wasn’t being used. The present owner only had it for about a year and found out it wasn’t exactly what he was looking for. The previous owner was an older couple and hadn’t used it for several years but it was always stored inside. It’s a 41 foot with four slides, 2005 “Crescendo” by Gulf Stream. It has a Diesel pusher with the 350 horse power Cat engine and an Allison transmission, with only 30,000 miles on it. It has a lot more room than my old rig had, and a lot more power for towing the car behind. I’m really excited about it, but it’s going to take me a while to get everything organized and settled in properly. We just kind of just moved everything and stuck it in where we could find room. So over the next several weeks as time permits I will have to rearrange everything. Well I’ll let the photos to the rest of the talking. Along with all this I’ve been keeping up with my duties here at the park, helping out campers and keeping an eye on things cleaning sites as guests leave. And also I’ve been splitting a bunch of firewood that we sell here at the park, the proceeds go back to the Friends of the Park to be use on projects of their choosing. Here’s a few photos of the pile I’ve been working on.
